Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detector for detecting a plurality of positions in an object using a simple configuration, without using complex configurations.SOLUTION: The object detector comprises a diaphragm 1, a composite lens 2 having a plurality of regions with different focal distances one another, a diaphragm control section 4 for selecting a region, corresponding to a desired focal distance from a plurality of regions and for adjusting the degree of opening of the diaphragm 1, a photographic section 3 for photographing an object through the composite lens 2 and the diaphragm 1, and an object position detecting section 11 for detecting the position of the object by comparing the focused states of a plurality of images of the object photographed at the photographic section 3, by allowing at least one of the degree of opening of the diaphragm 1 and a region, corresponding to a desired focal distance to differ at the diaphragm control section 4.COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
